A 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We center the child before the diagnosis.
Our Why
Many children with autism and children with ADD/ADHD are placed in educational or therapeutic environments that prioritize external control over connection, regulation, and embodied learning. These environments can unintentionally leave children dysregulated and families feeling overwhelmed or unsupported.
Families often encounter:
Limited access to trauma-informed, body-based programs
Long waitlists for appropriate support
Interventions that do not address sensory and nervous-system needs
A lack of caregiver education rooted in nervous-system literacy
The Spectrum School was created to meet this need with care, intention, and respect for each child’s individuality.
Programs & Support
Choose the support that fits your child’s needs today—while building skills for long-term well-being.
Child Programs
Relationship-based, body-aware learning experiences designed to support regulation, communication, and engagement—without pressure to “perform.”
Practical, compassionate guidance to help you understand your child’s nervous system, reduce daily stress, and create routines that actually work at home.
For caregivers, educators, and community partners who want trauma-informed, somatic tools that support regulation and learning—without shame or coercion.
The Spectrum School offers programs designed specifically for children with autism and children with ADD/ADHD, as well as support for their caregivers.
Our programs include:
Somatic-based group learning and support environments
Sensory-safe movement spaces
Creative expression and play-based programming
Dedicated calming and regulation spaces
Parent and caregiver education rooted in nervous-system literacy
Community workshops and family support offerings
Programs are intentionally small, high-support, and designed to meet children where they are developmentally and emotionally.
What makes us different
We exist to offer a supportive alternative to traditional models that emphasize compliance and behavior modification without sufficient attention to nervous-system safety and emotional regulation.
Here, the goal isn’t “better behavior.” The goal is a regulated, connected child who can learn, play, and participate with dignity.
Our core commitments
Child-centered support that honors sensory and emotional needs
Somatic tools for regulation, engagement, and resilience
Caregiver partnership—because you deserve support too
